Another week, another wreck!

So this week was really really all over the place!! Ill just go day to day!

MONDAY
Well after we emailed we went and got some food and then had planned to go the the chapel and play basketball.... Well what happened was jena was driving and he missied the corner and when he tried to make it the tires popped on the left side. Well when they popped it caused us to start drifting into the curb. Once we hit the curb the truck like went super slow and tipped over. We are all ok and the truck isn't that badly damaged. The pictures make it seem like it would be really damaged but not too bad for flipping onto its side.

Tuesday.

Wednesday.
Because of the backi being crashed we had to leave in richards bay and get a ride back home, so those days we couldn't really do much. Because where we stay and where our area is its pretty far, so we only went into the area when it was a really important lesson with our less actives or investigators. We had ZTM and instead of us going into richards bay the whole zone came to our branch for the meeting.

Thursday. Luckily we were able to be picked up by the todds, and were able to get back the backi. So We were able to go to appointments and the DAs. hahahha

Friday. We Had our normal day, and then to the university for the last time and to our favorite place to eat. Numbulas Place. It is like the best food ever! You get the combo and they give you four big ribs. Four big chicken wings. and then a whole bunch of chips!! (french fries)

Saturday. We had dinner at the todds for transfer news. Im Leaving my area....... I dont want to go its been so perfect lately..... I even teared up in my farewell testimoney. I really dont want to leave. But im going to Tabanchu... Not sure if that is how you spell it. But it is by lesotho so I'll be on another 10 hour bus ride! I'm going to be with elder lisombee He is from Boise Idaho. He is colored and I know him pretty well so its going to be a lot of fun!! :)

Umm well.... Im a little busy with transfers today so this is a short message but it will be better next week :) love ya all!!!! Have a great week :)

I made an awesome cake:

Safari Time!

Hey guys on that side of the world!!!
Well another great week here. Not really to much different happened this week. the highlight was going to the game park and looking for the big Five! We saw 3 of the big five we couldn't find the lion or the water buffalo, but we saw everything else. Fetch it was insane how big this one elephant was and it was right next to the truck.... I also got out and took a picture with a wild rhino so that was intense as well but so worth it hahah.

We did a lot of gardens this week for service and I always forget to grab my camera and take pictures..... I got to do better at taking pictures of our service projects. Anyways I’m learning a lot about gardening and how to do it properly its really fun to learn.

We Played basketball and soccer at the university and I was able to dunk it again..... thankfully I have elder beck who always pushes me to go run with him hahah :) so health wise I’m in great shape. There is a girl that goes to institute I cant remember if I talked about her last week. I may have anyways we call her Stephanie curry because she nails shots!  Hahah and Me and The other elders were asked to be on the basketball team at the university......... wish I could but you know missionary work first hahah:)

So bongeka ( sister in the Buthelezi family ) had her birthday this week...... it was intense we had a big brai..... lots of meat...... chips...... cookies....... cake and ice cream...... And well..... they decided to have a cake fight with the cake........ yeah we missionaries were attacked with frosting hahah! Its was great fun!
So funny little story........... well not funny......... just cool to see. So the priest in the branch haven't really been doing the sacrament prayer because either they are late, or need to pass the sacrament. Well with a couple of the boys being ordained into the priesthood they were able to have enough for the priest to do it for the first time! They were so nervous you could tell but it was just cool to see them being able to do it all their selves. One of them said the second prayer and instead of praying for the water he prayed for the bread again and then after he said the whole thing he got up and started to pass the water when he grabbed the water he realized what he did and smacked his head and started again ahahah it was a good giggle in the crowd :) its really neat to see the branch becoming more and more self reliant :)

So with the families that we are seeing as well as our investigators. Well.... Rob one of our most powerful ready investigators got a great job. And he is gone throughout the week and he is lucky if he gets to come back on the weekends so hopefully I will be able to see him again. Because transfer news is this week.  CRAZY HUH another Transfer done!!!! But I’m possibly leaving because I have been here for four and a half months already!!! THE SAME AS LESOTHO! ITS BLOWING MY MIND HOW FAST THINGS ARE GOING!!  The Nkose family a less active family that we recently started seeing, the baba we met on Saturday and on Sunday he came to church all dressed up in his suit and tie and he had the biggest smile on his face you could tell he missed church and everyone there!

New faces are coming into the church every week! The work is moving really well! I’m happy and in love with everything that I have. I love this area and I don't want to leave! I love the missionaries that I’m around especially my comp elder Katimbo! He is such a funny hard working guy! He always makes me laugh and is always dancing to church songs hahahh!! Especially if there is a song in the streets that people are blasting or something. House music where its just beats no lyrics man everyone loves it hahah :)  elder Katimbo is super funny when It comes to dogs HE HATES DOGS hahahah. He has helped me so much to stay focused and to work hard! He is  a reason why this area is going well! he loves his boiled eggs and music he loves singing. He loves things like the voice. hahah he is a cool guy! His birthday is actually this month on the 27 so this Friday. I have got to plan something for him! maybe a birthday gift :) well ill get those pictures sent! I hope everyone had a great week with all the graduations and the parties and the preparations for missions and things like that :) I love you all :)

Work hard and happiness is forever!

Wow this week was so stressful and powerful and all of it in a good way!! We worked really hard this week!! I LOVED IT!! This area is on fire now, the lord is opening up the hearts of the people and giving us missionaries the encouragement and the strength!! i have never loved this area so much! We have found 12 new people to teach, our church attendance was super high as well 66! We had a lot of new faces in there as well. All the members are amazing and are helping us so much!!! Wow I’m so happy I don’t want to leave this area anytime soon!!!

We met a new guy his name is Michael we met him at a wedding and then were able to meet up with him later on. He was really interested how a couple can be sealed for all time and eternity. You can tell that he loves his wife and wants the best for his family. So we met him at where he works, the local primary (elementary ) school. He is a teacher there and we went to his class room and used the chalk board to teach him the plan of salvation. He was really receptive and took notes like he was a student! I can’t wait to teach him more on Tuesday!

We met a less active family, Nkose family they are a great family and one of the members of the family is not a member so we are teaching her as well :) They promised to come to church next Sunday so we will see :)

There is a less active that we visit rarely because she is super tied up in work and is not able to make it to church but she was able to come yesterday, and that is the first time she came ever since I’ve been her, Anyways she is awesome and her sister is awesome as well, She is married and yesterday she brought her husband to church and the husband came up to us and wants us to teach him lessons as well, i guess he wants to go to the temple with his wife some day!!! AWWWWWW

We went to the local college for institute, It was very cool to see how many people showed up even though they are not members! The spirit was soooooo strong!! We just talked about the articles of faith and it was amazing to go through those again, they really do explain what us Mormons are all about. After institute we played basketball at the college and yes us missionaries beat the boys team 3 games to 0........... Ummm yeah that was a lot of fun as well. One of the girls from institute was on our team and she was like Steph curry straight up ahhhaha :) she hit everything that I passed her!!! I was like fetch go to the WNBA!! They loved playing with some white guys hahaha It was a lot of fun! I can’t jump though.... mission problems haah

We helped a gogo with a new garden that she was doing and she was really impressed with how fast us missionaries got things done! :) I ACTUALLY LOVE GARDENING! Is that weird.... it’s like the best service thing though hahah :)

The matablela family is doing amazing as well, they gave us some fresh bananas off of their tree and man THEY WERE SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD! honestly tasted like banana ice cream or pudding! So good!! mmmm

Today we are going on a safari so I’m super excited to hopefully see the big five!!! :) So I got to go but all in all I’m very happy in shape( we run every night and then workout after) I’m in love with this gospel I love spreading it! It is like the greatest thing in my life, and to only imagine my future wife as a returned missionary as well...... Man what else could get better. I love that girl and she knows it as well... hahah everyone knows who I’m talking about! Hahhah But the lord really has blessed me so much and really has helped me so much. Two years is not enough to repay everything that he has done for me! I love my family I love my mission. I’m So happy!!! Have a great week everyone! Spread the gospel the lord will bless you!!

What a week...

I  repeat what a week :)

This week was really great we were able to find a lot of new people to teach and were able to have a baptism as well :) We are teaching a family that has a missionary in Australia ha there is a lot to say so let me just go one by one.

The family, The Matabelas, They are not members the only member is the son who is on a mission. They are extremely nice to use even though they are not members. They feed us every Sunday, and me and elder katimbo just felt prompted that we should start teaching them the lessons.  So we asked them last Sunday if they wanted to start with the lessons and they were interested so  we left them with plan of salvation pamphlets so that they could read them for the next week. Yesterday we had a powerful lesson and covered the perfect plan and how families can be together forever.  I'm really really looking forward to the next couple of weeks teaching them. They ask a lot of questions and are super, super interested in learning more.

The baptism, Siyanda is 9 has been waiting to be baptized and he finally was able to :) He is part of the buthlezis family. The baptism was pretty stressful trying to get it all ready for after church. We were going to clean the font on Saturday but it started raining like crazy and were were not able to do anything. So we went to church early so that we could start on the font. Well turns out that the pump was broken, so after sacrament we had to get in the font and just start using the buckets to get the water out. It took a really really long time there was a lot of water!!! After we got the water out we had to clean it, then put water back in. Well the hose was broken as well hahah so we went to the mondlanes to get theirs. We set it all up and then the water pressure was low....... what else could  go wrong! so we were running out of time so we just started getting the buckets again and feeling them in the other tap  and dumping them in. after about 200 buckets of water or less I don't know hahah. we finally were ready for the baptism. The water was super cold but totally worth it after all of that work ahha. All of that just for those wonderful 30 seconds of being in the water....... totally worth it though I was blessed to be part of someones salvation! Pretty cool if you ask me :)

Update on our investigator rob, He went to Durban for about two weeks for a cool job he got. So hopefully he comes back this week. He is ready to be baptized but we just got to work with his father. But i know he will be able to be a member of the church some day. all in the lords time:)

We have received a lot of new people to teach this week..... about 8 so this upcoming week were are going to contact them and start scheduling things. So these next three weeks are going to be great:)

Today we are having our zone activity, We are going to Durban and going ice skating so that is going to be alot of fun!!! Tomorrow we have zone conference its presidents last one so i got to make sure to get a picture with him.

So my new favorite snacks are apples and avocados. Apples because i need to eat better and not just PPJ sandwiches hahah. avocados because oh my they are sooo good especially when we pick them right off the tree! Elder jena showed me that its better if you put sugar on it..... doesn't make it healthy but man is it good!!!

Everything is great especially this gospel. I'm loving it out here! ITS A LOT MORE FUN THAN I THOUGHT. I thought before mission, 'OH man its like church every single day!!!" but honestly I love it so much!! its amazing to be this close to the lord and to this gospel and have this wonderful opportunity to teach about it!!!
